In order to prove their spiritual thirst, the aspirants had to undergo terrible tests which endangered their lives. They were then brought to the doors of the Temples of Knowledge where they had access to this universal Wisdom. Today, the occult symbolism of ancient Gnosis - which can be found in sacred books such as the Bible, the Koran, the Bhagavad Gita, the Torah, the Zohar, the Dhammapada, the Popol Vuh, the I Ching, the Zend Avesta, the Book of the Dead, the Edda, etc. - has been revealed to us by the Great Masters so that we may awaken our Consciousness and recover our latent Faculties. This true spiritual transformation is the fruit of the Three Factors of the Revolution of Consciousness, taught in all the great cultures and civilisations: Psychological Death, Birth in Spirit and disinterested Sacrifice, or the Gift of Self through love of others, through compassion. “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit,” said Jesus the Christ. This is the authentic alchemical work, the Great Work, which the traditions of the entire world speak to us of.
